Emerald Lake Golf Club Because the first two holes at Emerald Lake are fairly straightforward, you may head into three with a low score and a lot of confidence. If the prevailing wind is in your face it will be one of the most difficult holes on the course. It’s a 468 yard, up hill, par four with a well bunkered landing area.

You’ll get a short break at the fairly benign fourth, but beginning at five, you’ll have to mind your P’s and Q’s at the rest of the tees.

A favorite among many regulars, five is a high risk/reward hole–with the payoff being a birdie if you play it just right. However, if you go for the green in two and don’t make it, you may find yourself making bogey or worse.

Fourteen is a tricky read and a tough driving hole because the fairway slopes towards the woods. You’ll dogleg right, and if you hit it in two and miss the green long or left, it can be a very difficult up and down. The elevated green slopes from front to back and left to right, so it can be difficult to hold.

At eighteen you’re still not home free, where an exceptionally large fairway stretches out like an oversized welcome mat. However, you must still play a mid to long iron to one of the most difficult and undulating greens on the course. Many matches have been decided here over the years.

From there you are invited into the clubhouse’s Lakeside Grille where the drinks are cold and the stories are just beginning to heat up. We hope you’re up for the challenge!
